What is kegel training?
A series of exercises that strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. They can be performed unassisted by contracting and releasing the pelvic floor muscles, or supplemented with the use of weighted or unweighted balls inserted into the vagina.
What is the Kegel Training Set?
A set of 3 interchangeable, weighted balls designed to help strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.
How does it work?
By contracting then releasing the muscles in your pelvic floor you strengthen the muscles as well as the muscles surrounding the uterus, bladder, and rectum.
- Start by applying plenty of lube to yourself and your Kegel Training Set before playing. We recommend a water-based lube such as Hello Cake’s Toy Lube—a no drip, super slick, water-based lubricant.
- Keeping the retraction cord outside the body, insert the exerciser ball into the vagina with a firm but gentle push. The exerciser(s) should be positioned about 2cm / 1in inside the vagina.
- To perform kegel exercises tighten your pelvic floor muscles as if you are stopping the flow of urine. You'll need to tighten or squeeze enough to feel it working, but not too tight so that you're squeezing your inner thighs, back, buttocks or stomach. Remember to breathe with each rep!
- Try it and hold for three seconds at a time, then relax and repeat.
- When you get comfortable, try to mix and match the weights to increase resistance. Start light, and increase as you get stronger!
- For beginners we suggest starting with an empty bladder, and in a sitting or lying down position. While you can walk around while using Kegel Training Set, you should only do so for short periods of time!
How do I remove it?
To remove, gently pull at the string like you would remove a tampon. Take a deep breath, relax and go slow. If you experience resistance or discomfort, try removing it in a warm bath or shower. Wash your hands and Kegel Training Set after each use.
